Vaughan, Ontario is mourning the loss of one of its most respected tradesmen, Frank Cozzolino, a highly skilled electrician, beloved community member, and cherished friend of renowned contractor and TV personality Mike Holmes.
Frank, the former owner and founder of Frank Cozzolino – Solutions Electrical & Maintenance Ltd., leaves behind a legacy built on craftsmanship, integrity, and compassion. Born in Toronto and later settling in Vaughan, Frank studied at Humber Polytechnic, where he developed the deep technical skills and work ethic that would shape his career.
Over the years, he earned a reputation for being the man who could step into the most challenging electrical problems and restore safety with precision, humor, and heart. His natural ability to bring calm into chaotic situations became his trademark.
Mike Holmes expressed profound grief, saying, “I am devastated by the death of my good friend Frank Cozzolino. Frank made us better. His impact will live on in every home he helped. Frank could walk into the toughest electrical disaster, crack a joke in his style, and suddenly the whole room felt lighter. That’s just who he was.”
Holmes highlighted not only Frank’s skill but his genuine care for people — homeowners, coworkers, and friends alike. Frank’s cause of death has not been publicly disclosed, but his passing has sent shockwaves through the trades community and beyond.
Colleagues describe him as someone who took pride in doing things the right way, always prioritizing safety, honesty, and respect. More than an electrician, Frank was a mentor, a friend, and a bright presence whose kindness touched countless lives. His commitment to excellence and his joyful spirit will continue to live on in every project he influenced and every person he inspired.
